Presentations in all areas of Civil Engineering are welcomed, however, the 2025 Annual Conference will feature specialty conferences in Cold Regions, Environmental Engineering, Hydrotechnical Engineering, Materials and Engineering Mechanics, Structures, and Sustainable Development.

Specialty Conferences

Cold Regions

Workshop Co-Chairs:

Dr. Jianbing Li & Dr. Zoe Li

The Cold Regions Specialty will focus on the development and advance in different aspects of civil engineering in cold regions.

Hydrotechnical

Workshop Co-Chairs:

Dr. Zahidul Islam & Dr. Shawn Clark

The Hydrotechnical Specialty invites manuscript and presentations from the broad areas of hydraulic and hydrological engineering from both practice and academia.

Structures

Workshop Co-Chairs:

Dr. Ahmed Elshaer & Dr. Graziano Fiorillo

The 11th International Structures Specialty will focus on innovation in the analysis, design and retrofit of structures with special emphasis on the challenges imposed by climate change while targeting sustainability and resilience.

Environmental

Workshop Co-Chairs:

Dr. Onita Basu & Dr. Kelvin Tsun Wai Ng

The Environmental Specialty will focus on the environmental and public health needs of civil engineering and its importance in improving the quality of life for people and providing reliable infrastructure for societal benefits.

Materials

Workshop Co-Chairs:

Dr. M. T. Bassuoni & Dr. A. Solimon

The 12th International Materials Specialty has a particular focus on how materials contribute to a sustainable, durable, and resilient civil infrastructure.

Sustainable Development

Workshop Co-Chairs:

Dr. Farnaz Sadeghpour & Dr. Erik Poirier
